Much like his role in the remake of The Karate Kid, the young Smith is asked to perform as an angsty teen and an action star. Beginning with the primary protagonist, Kitai Raige, it seems very apparent to me that Jayden has some serious acting chops. One by one, let’s discuss why.įirst, I am not sure what standards those criticizing the actors’ performances are using to judge the Smiths. However, they are also not entirely fair or accurate. The characters are poorly written and, thus, are hard to connect to. The script is filled with poorly written dialogue.
